This Lorell Executive High-Back Chair,Mesh Fabric is by far the best desk chair I have ever owned it comes almost completely put together it took all of ten minutes and I was sitting in it. Very comfortable which is import as I spend a lot of time working from home, buy this chair you won't regret it. For the price, this is as good a chair as you will find.
Lorell Executive High-Back Chair,Mesh Fabric,28-1/2"x28-1/2"x45,BK. $175.08
After a year of sitting in this Lorell Executive High-Back Chair,Mesh Fabric 12 hours a day on a near daily basis I can say that it's very comfortable and stands up to sustained use. The cushion is just firm enough and the arm rests are made of a material that looks hard but has just enough give to keep your elbows from hurting, even when you lean on them half of the day like I do.
  • Executive high-back chair features a mesh back chair, mesh fabric seat and ergonomically designed high back for the natural curvature of a person's back
  • Arms adjust in height and width
  • Seat height from floor adjusts from 17"" to 21""
  • Offers a nylon five-star base, pneumatic seat-height adjustment, 360-degree swivel, tilt and asynchronous three-lever control Available in black frame only and meets the ca117 fire-retardant standard.
Amazon consistently has it for the lowest price when I've checked. It's high quality. Very easy to put together and solid as a rock.  There are also more comfortable chairs for sitting in 1 hr per day, but as said above... once you get into serious use like I do your choices get narrowed down quickly. It used to be Aeron or backache. Now that this chair is out, as long as you can deal with it being a bit ugly, you have the option of comfort on a budget.

Good back support - I feel like it is trendy these days for lot of chairs to have a very pronounced lower back bump. This chair does not have such a bump. Lorell Executive High-Back Chair, Mesh Fabric has a nice smooth curve to the back that supports the full back through the mid-upper spine.

I personally get very bad upper back tightness, and I hunch over too much. The contour on this chair nicely provides support to keep my upper spine straighter. The back also has a good range of degrees where you can keep it fixed. This Lorell Executive High-Back Chair, Mesh Fabric was around $170 and in my opinion is as good as the office supply store's $250-$300 for sure, and I am very happy with it.
